Product Review: The new LIVON MOROCCAN HAIR SERUM

Since I’m a newbie here I’d want you all to go easy on me. This is the first time I’m doing a product review. So here goes. Recently a new hair product has been launched by LIVON and everywhere I look (and I mean literally everywhere), I see an advertisement or the product itself. And the ‘beauty and make-up’ obsessed girl that I am, I decided to give it a try.

Packaging:

I personally liked the packaging. It’s a cute little girly box inside which there’s a translucent pink bottle. There’s a pump on the bottle which makes the application easy.

Price : Rs.149 for 30ml

Product claims: It detangles your hair and prevents breakage. Also provides sunscreen and makes your hair more manageable. It makes them silky and smooth. It provides leave in conditioning as well.

How it worked for me: Since I have medium length hair, 2 pumps of the serum is sufficient for my hair length. I use it from mid length to the ends of my hair. I do not suggest applying it on the scalp. It works best when applied on towel dry hair. It doesn’t magically detangles your hair but it does help to an extent. My hair definitely felt softer and smoother when it completely dried. It works wonders for me in winters because my hair tends to get dry and frizzy. So it provides the perfect amount of moisture to my hair.I like how soft my hair feels when it dries completely. It also makes my hair smell fresh . It could also be used on dry hair .Just spritz some water on the ends and apply the serum evenly. It saves a great deal of time while detangling your second or third day hair. Also the fragrance doesn’t come out too strong. It’s subtle and soothing. But if you use any hot tools on your hair after applying the serum, you could barely smell it. Ribbet collage

What I like:

  • makes your hair softer and smoother
  • instantly adds a shine
  • keeps your hair hydrated and nourished
  • the packaging is good and travel friendly

What I don’t like:

  • fragrance is way too mild which fades away if you use any hot tools
  • doesn’t exactly detangles your hair

Final Verdict:This serum works for all hair types. It’s recommended to only apply it from mid length to the ends. Your hair will end up looking greasy if applied on the scalp. All in all, I won’t say it’s a “must have” but it’s definitely worth a try.

Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick review!!

Unusual as it is for a girl in her teens to be a lipstick fan, I’m still one of them. I adore lipsticks. No matter how many I buy, I can never get enough of it. So to appease my yearning I bought two of Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipsticks. These lipsticks are available in 10 different shades including dusky nude and eternal red, the ones that I bought.

I won’t say that they’re pocket friendly. They cost ₹649 for 4g each. I bought them on a discount.

I love, love the packaging. It’s really cute. They come in a  tiny box. The lipstick case is a golden metal case which makes it a little heavy.

The lipsticks, though a bit on the expensive side, are really promising. They are super moisturising and a little goes a long way. The texture is really creamy and smooth. It glides on really easily. They hydrate your lips and keeps them soft. Once I apply it in the morning, I don’t feel the need to touch up for the first 3-4 hours. They’re decently tinted and provide medium coverage. They have a lacquer finish which I find perfect because I’m a college student.

The one on the left is dusky nude , so I had to add a few strokes to make it visible on the camera. But once applied it looks beautiful. And the one on the right is eternal red, my mom’s personal favourite!

Pros of Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipsticks :
1.They’re travel friendly. It won’t open up in your purse and ruin your stuff.
2. The texture is really smooth which makes it super moisturizing. 3. It stays on for a good 3-4 hours. 4. It has medium coverage. Yeah its in my pros list because I prefer medium coverage.
5. It glides on really easily. You don’t need to apply a balm beneath.
6. All the shades available are really pretty.

Cons of Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipsticks :
1. As I mentioned, due to their packaging they’re a little heavy.
2. They’re not exactly an investment for girls my age. But it you get a discount like I did, it’s a must buy.
I’ll absolutely buy this product again. Currently I’m obsessed with this lipstick. So for me it was definitely an investment.
